EXPLAINING COEXIST

In response to the Sign of the Times post, a faithful reader sent me the image below.  Sadly, although it as a bit hyperbolic, it conveys much truth.  I might run the risk on making it on to some jihadist's list for fatwā, but being an insignificant commentator, I am not too concerned.  Nearly every day I read of atrocities carried out in the name of Islam - Sunnis killing Shiites, Shiites killing Sunnis, Muslims killing Christians [and of course vice versa], and the most outrageous, Boko Haram ["Western Education is Sin"] kidnapping girls, slaughtering villagers, and so on.  As long as there are radical fundamentalists, regardless of the religion, there will not be any coexistence.  The current chaos in Iraq should give the US some food for thought the next time Washington decides to invade some country in order to 'make things better'.  We can see that killing Saddam really made Iraq the poster-country for US intervention.

I didn't see atheism in there. There is genuine scientific evidence that atheists are neurologically atypical, if not necessarily "mentally ill" per se. That might explain why western society is visibly collapsing. One of the primary assumptions of atheist thought - the Enlightenment idea that Western civilization did not depend upon Christianity, but was inhibited by it - is rapidly being understood to be as false as the Christian apologists warned it was two centuries ago. The choice may actually be reduced to: if you want to keep your flush toilets, refrigerators, and television, go to church

Atheism ain't a religion.

Just because Christian scientists and intellectuals participated in the Enlightenment does not mean the it was dependent on Christianity. There are certainly numerous examples of the Church suppressing scientific findings. As you surely know, correlation has nothing to do with cause and effect.

I think that refrigerators, flush toilets and TV were all invented by non-Christians :-)

What I was trying to say is that Western Civilization depends on Christianity. If Christianity goes, so does the West. Liberals want to deprive us of all the Christian props, such as the institution of marriage, absolute values, liberty, the concept of sin, etc. It will be like Wiley Coyote running off the edge of the cliff. He hangs in mid-air until he looks down and realizes his Christian props are missing. Then he plunges. What awaits him is tyranny and most likely a pagan culture, which ain’t no fun if you’ve been there.

Not a craphole for the elite, but for everyone else. We will have a top 10% or so that have money and assets and live the good life, and then everyone else on the bottom. They may remain content with their free food, healthcare, and Obamaphone. Then again, maybe not, especially after the money runs out.

Otto B's racist rant was removed - however, he should note that the immigrants that he fulminates against are by and large Christians.

Please don't confuse patriotism and common sense with being raciss. Lol!

Well, Otto, which is it? On the one hand you are using the word raciss, which some would construe as racist because it could come across as making fun of people who pronounce it the “wrong” way. On the other hand, use of the word raciss may mean you are being respectful of cultural differences, and inclusive by not holding people to strict spelling and pronunciation standards.

DES, applying Biblical standards, most people who say and think they are Christians, ain't.

OB - applying strict Biblical standards, ain't nobody a Christian...

Bizzy Brain said...

DES, upon what information are you basing the assertion that those aliens flooding the border are Christian?

DES said...

Bizzy - simple demographics - the great preponderance of Central Americans are Catholic [of course you may be of the ilk that do not accept Catholicism as being Christian ;-]

Bizzy Brain said...

Reason I ask is not all Central Americans are Catholic. Would not the role of the Catholic church in Central America be to protect and preserve the flock? If not, then it is a failed institution. On the other hand, non-Christians and gang members may flee to the US for the free goodies, which Obama is going to shower on them with abundance.

Bizzy Brain said...

Don't collapse from shock, DES, but I do believe some Catholics are Christians. LOL! Just as I believe some Protestants are Christians. I believe there is a much higher percentage of Protestants who are Christians on the African continent and in Asia.
