THE OUTLAW JEFFEY SESSIONS

A man, two guns, held high by his face.
Some of you may remember this Clint Eastwood movie - unfortunately Josey Wales had far more redeeming characteristics than AG Jeffey Sessions. I have always considered Sessions to be a duplicitous reprobate of the CINO variety, but his recent blinkered actions regarding marijuana prompted this particular rant.  Sessions cherry picks which issues he believes are federal in nature versus which he believes belong in the realm of state's rights.  He simply follows his own personal preferences, even though on the marijuana issue, he is willfully ignoring the preferences of the majority of states, the majority of the electorate and the majority of the science.  Hopefully he will go down in flames during one of the current inquiries into obstruction of justice.  The following posters pretty much sum up the despicable actions of this man:

MOTHER MARY TURNS 100

Family and friends of Mary Aschliman Swartzendruber gathered Monday, Jan. 1, for the celebration of her 100th birthday. Her daughter, Kay Montgomery, Palm Springs, California, and her son, Douglas Swartzendruber, Westminster, Colorado, hosted the celebration in the Garden Room of Manor 3 at Greencroft in Goshen.

Born in Ohio, Mary was married April 2, 1939, in Pigeon, Michigan, to Ed Swartzendruber, a farmer and co-owner of Edd’s Supply, Shipshewana. He passed away in 2015.

Mary was a homemaker who raised the couple’s children on the family farm near Goshen. She also worked at Lucille’s Dress Shop in Goshen. Over the years, she has enjoyed traveling the world, especially her trips to Alaska, Australia and China.

She keeps busy crocheting baby hats for hospitalized infants and prayer shawls. She is a member of College Mennonite Church, Goshen.

Many family and friends made it to Indiana for the gathering including Nick and Lisa and their family.  Below, yours truly, Nick, Noelle and Silas flanking Mary and great-grand-daughter Isabelle.
