PROFESSOR JAMES MILLER MURDER CASE

Some of you who have been hanging around this blog for a while will remember the murder of Goshen College Biology Professor James Miller and my post of November 7, 2011, that can be found here.  Now, after 7 years, an arrest has been made and a criminal case is being prepared against Winston Corbett, 23, who was 16 at the time of the murder.  A very interesting series of reports culminating with the story of the arrest can be found here.  The press conference of the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office regarding the arrest can be found here.

Committing murder should be the same thing as committing suicide. In other words, all convicted murderers should be put to death, and not 20+ years from now at the end of a drawn out appeals process, but within a year or two. The average time served in prison for murder is about 12 years, and many murderers go on to murder again once they are released. Murderers know that it isn’t the end of the world if they get caught and convicted. In fact, I heard one young punk say, “It would be worth five years of my life to get rid of that bitch!” If he knew he was going to pay with his life, then he may have second thoughts and the woman’s life would be saved. So, I say, "Death to all murderers!"

Sandor - I can certainly understand your sentiment, and also believe that if someone murdered any of my family, relatives or friends, I would have a very strong sense of revenge. The death penalty is a complicated subject, too much so for comment here, but I also tend to agree with your point that the prison terms for murder often do not fit the crime, with one person sentenced to life without parole and another to a few years in prison. This points to the problems with consistency across the justice system, for example, blacks often get far harsher penalties than whites for basically the same crimes. Similarly, there is a racial imbalance in innocent parties being found guilty. There are probably some remote islands that could be made into penal colonies!!

I can think of one. Little St. James Island in the Virgin Islands comes to mind. It is owned by Jeffrey Epstein, who used to take his good buddies, like Bill Clinton, down there for sex with underage girls, which would make it a penile colony.

Good one! Epstein and Bill could be among the first to go. However, I think that I remember Trump also being involved with Epstein and underage girls; ditto for Trumpian Acosta.
