POWERS OF 10

In some of the courses that I teach, it is important for students to have a reasonable understanding of scale - how big things are and how small things are - and the Powers of 10 videos below are good tools for introducing the subject and to begin discussions.

Very interesting! Takes me back to my college days, sitting in class, looking around the room and noticing how big things are and how small things are.

That one made me chuckle. Probably no differences by a power of 10 - more like differences in alphabet, eh Hugh?
