WALDO CANYON FIRE

As I mentioned in a previous post, the Boulder fire was not near our place and never was a serious threat to any neighborhoods.  On the other hand, the Waldo Canyon fire swept into northwest Colorado Springs destroying well over three hundred homes and the landmark Flying W Ranch.  The fire line held at Centennial Boulevard which is less than a mile from our former home on Mount Woodmen Court in Rockrimmon.  Here are a couple of amazing videos of the fire:
