Here I'm singin' happy birthday
Better think about the about the wish I make
This year gone by ain't been a piece of cake
Everyday's a revolution
Pull it together and it comes undone
Just one more candle and a trip around the sun
Better think about the about the wish I make
This year gone by ain't been a piece of cake
Everyday's a revolution
Pull it together and it comes undone
Just one more candle and a trip around the sun
I'm just hangin' on while this old world keeps spinning
And it's good to know it's out of my control
If there's one thing that I've learned from all this livin'
Is that it wouldn't change a thing if I let go
And it's good to know it's out of my control
If there's one thing that I've learned from all this livin'
Is that it wouldn't change a thing if I let go
No you never see it comin'
Always wind up wonderin' where it went
Only time will tell if it was time well spent
It's another revelation
Celebrating what I should have done
With these souvenirs of my trip around the sun
Always wind up wonderin' where it went
Only time will tell if it was time well spent
It's another revelation
Celebrating what I should have done
With these souvenirs of my trip around the sun
I'm just hangin' on while this old world keeps spinning
And it's good to know it's out of my control
If there's one thing that I've learned from all this livin'
Is that it wouldn't change a thing if I let go
And it's good to know it's out of my control
If there's one thing that I've learned from all this livin'
Is that it wouldn't change a thing if I let go
Yes I'll make a resolution
That I'll never make another one
Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun
Just enjoy this ride
That I'll never make another one
Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun
Just enjoy this ride
Can't come up with a clever way to work political commentary into this one. Nice song, however.
ReplyDeleteLou - you just didn't try hard enough! Also, Lou/Loose - I am always impressed with the ingenuity and often off-color nature of your nom de plumes! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think they are clever, too, Douglas E.
ReplyDeleteWell that's not surprising!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAda Block. Ada N. Block. Ada Nelle Block. A. Nelle Block. See how easy it is?
ReplyDeleteI didn't get any of those....
ReplyDeleteThe first three are not a play on words. They just show the progression to Anal Block.

ReplyDeleteEpic fail on so many levels :-) Foremost, most of us genteel folks do not know what anything about Anal Block, and are not inclined to look it up! Thus, it is likely too scatological for this moderate blog and may disappear!
Don't blame you for deleting all of it. Am thinking anal block has to do with constipation, or what they refer to on TV as "irregularity." So, if you watch any TV at all, which I don't, you probably have seen umpteen laxative commercials. Am remembering the grandfolks always had Feen-a-Mint on hand. So, am thinking your genteel readers know all about such things. Lol!
ReplyDeleteDon't recollect hearing the term, but parents and grand parents often referred to constipation as "stove up" - and also used when some body part was hurting, especially legs.
ReplyDeleteI heard Dale say something one time about "Go get the Feen-a-Mint." Don't remember "stove up," but will put that in my family memory file.
