MARISOL MALIBU
If you have a few million dollars lounging in your bank, you may want a home here:
Very soothing and relaxing video. I watch it over and over. However, it leaves out one small detail - the property owners have to cross the four lane Pacific Coast Highway to get to the water. Lol! That shaves off a few million that I would be willing to pay.
Forgot to add, cross the highway after rappelling down a steep cliff to get to the highway. Check out on Google maps and plug in Ellice Street, Malibu, CA. On satellite view, left click on the little orange man and drag him to the middle of the highway. Unclick, then click on the picture. Hold and move the pointer left and right to get a panoramic view of the cliffs, the highway, and the ocean. For fun, try this with your home address.
Bizzy - good catch! We have been up to County Line many times, but I did not check out where the Marisol development is. Amazing. I switched to Bing maps because for reasons unknown, Google maps often crashes on our computers.
As you probably remember, the best thing about County Line is Neptune's Net!!
Still doesn't ring a bell. Could it have been named something different before the current owners took over in 1991? If not, then maybe my brain was fried back then. After all it was CA, and people tell my I had a good time there.
Bizzy - not PC - it's Federal Law as related to discrimination. Sure, may be a stretch, but the guvmint sez that showing only white people sends the message that only white people are acceptable. Civil Rights Act of 1968.
Bizzy - agreed on the deception. I picked up on the elevation part because of the views from the lots to the ocean, the infinity pool, etc., but most folks would not note that, particularly when they show a bit of sand at the edge of the property. However, I and most others would not catch that these lots are on the land side of PCH!!
I went to the Marisol Malibu website and they made the fatal error of posting the street address of one of their properties. From that I was able to get a satellite view of the location. Then, surprise, surprise!
Well, Just sayin', if that be the case, seeing as how I don't believe in political correctness, multiculturalism, or diversity for the sake of diversity, I would not be a good choice to make commercials. Lol! However, if I did make that Malibu commercial and put Donald Sterling and his half Black half Mexican whore in it, do you think that would have met the legal requirements?
Not jealous, just sayin', the woman simply isn't my type, though she would do at 2:00 a.m. given that I was too drunk to walk and needed a ride home from the type of low-life bar she would look right at home in. As far as raciss goes, yeah, you can pin that label on me, with total knowledge it has been so overused and distorted as to be a meaningless word nowadays.
I can't imagine any of my cousins being a Sterling chick. Too much Amish and Mennonite in the DNA. There were notorious gold diggers that I found amusing, like Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith, who married some rich, senile old fart when he was 89. The marriage lasted 14 months until his death at age 90. She was more to be pitied than anything. However, Sterling’s toy is different in that she is truly wicked. Race has nothing to do with it. I would heap scorn on any woman of that ilk.
Regarding beer goggles, I have one vivid recollection back in my early twenties of meeting someone in a bar late one evening and asking her to meet me for lunch the next day. Upon seeing her in the daylight, I felt like the guy in the county song, “I Went Home with a 10 at 2 and Woke Up with a 2 at 10.”
Great way to get hits on your blog. The video and music play automatically whenever I visit. Cannot remember nearly all your posts, but this one is turning out to be my favorite.
Bizzy - it was unintentional :-) The embedded code must have a autoplay function. My guess is that when it moves off of the the main page, the auto start will stop - we will see!
For anyone interested in their own personal copy of this video, it is on YouTube under Malibu Marisol. Once you access it on YouTube, copy the address. Here is the link to a site that will get you through the download process: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001002.htm
Bizzy - just got back from the Bu and we drove past Marisol to check it out. It's not even in Malibu!! It's just past he Ventura county line - pretty much like the advertisement, but right across PCH is a very busy surfer beach. Even if I had the dough, I don't think that I would spend it on a $10 million dollar lot. :-)

ReplyDeleteForgot to add, cross the highway after rappelling down a steep cliff to get to the highway. Check out on Google maps and plug in Ellice Street, Malibu, CA. ReplyDeleteAs you probably remember, the best thing about County Line is Neptune's Net!!
Neptune's Net doesn't ring a bell. It came along after I was long gone from CA.
ReplyDeleteBiz, some would say you are a spoilsport dick.
ReplyDeleteBB - your brain must be fried :-) I think that Neptune's Net has been there for over 50 years.
ReplyDeleteStill doesn't ring a bell. Could it have been named something different before the current owners took over in 1991? If not, then maybe my brain was fried back then. After all it was CA, and people tell my I had a good time there.
ReplyDeletePerchance you never made it out that far. Back then Zuma Beach seemed way out there. And yes, you did have a good time in CA :-)
ReplyDeleteIn Colorado, this advertisement might get a review from the Real Estate Commission - it only shows white folks!
ReplyDeleteYes, Biz, you had a good time all right. You left CA with a divorce decree and zero net worth.
ReplyDeleteZuma Beach. That name is totally familiar, DES. That is probably the one your sister introduced me to.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin', don't know about the political correctness of the ad, but it gets an A+ for deception.
Well Sick One, at least Bizzy exited alive!!!!
ReplyDeleteBizzy - not PC - it's Federal Law as related to discrimination. Sure, may be a stretch, but the guvmint sez that showing only white people sends the message that only white people are acceptable. Civil Rights Act of 1968.

ReplyDeleteBB - your comments suggest that you are one jealous racist, po'd because Sterling's money can get him a young honey.
ReplyDeleteNot jealous, just sayin', the woman simply isn't my type, though she would do at 2:00 a.m. given that I was too drunk to walk and needed a ride home from the type of low-life bar she would look right at home in. ReplyDeleteSo, Bizzy - you are sayin' that the beer goggles work for you :-) Would you rant at the same level if Sterling's chick was your white cousin??

ReplyDeleteWith that leggy blonde in bikini prancing around the property, who needs million dollar views of the ocean?
ReplyDeleteConsidering the cost, I figured that she was included with the lot!
