NCAA ACADEMIC BRACKET - 2014

In 2012, I posted an NCAA basketball tournament bracket based on who would win according to Academic Progress Rate. i.e. graduation rates, class progression, etc. So here is the 2014 bracket, found here:

Good point and funny chart. What happened to academics?

Please forgive my unpolitically correct name. Ever since the fascist femminazis started the idiotic campaign to ban the use of the perfectly harmless word "bossy," I can't resist using it.

  2. Indeed, what happened to academics. If I was in charge, I disband all Division I sports that have a pro-equivalent, and then make the college level sports semi-pro. Pay them; let the go to class if they choose; etc.

Bossy One - you are being a little bossy, eh? :-) I don't recollect any campaign to ban bossy; wonder if the went after hefe as well?

Sheryl Sandberg, a business bigwig and author of a book titled Lean In or some such thing has started the ball rolling on banning the word. Naturally, she and her book are totally full of shit.

  4. I've heard of the woman and the book and have not paid much attention - and will continue not to do so. On the generic level, I don't appreciate bossy people, but there are both male and female examples of such!

Good idea not to waste time on feminism and other rebellions against Genesis 3:16

Looks like you're right so far on Dayton. They reached the Elite 8.

Well, I am now cheering for Wisconsin, for the simple reason that they demonstrate that white fellows can still play ball. Now, before you rant about racism, it's not. It's more of an observation of a fact that I don't completely understand - basketball is dominated by black athletes and thus I almost always cheer for the underdogs!

I looked all over the internet trying to find a Badger team picture and couldn't find one. Then decided to try and find ANY basketball team group picture. Still no luck. Only way to determine the racial make up of a team is to get to a roster of players click on each indiviual name, if it is linked, and the player picture will pop up. Is lack of group pictures by design?

  9. Phil - google Wisconsin Final Four and click on images; no team pictures but lots of pictures with most of the team. To me, Wisconsin does not seem like a semi-pro team like many of the others in the tournament

Well, Kentucky beating Wisconsin pretty much proves God is not a basketball fan.
