THE LATEST BECK CONSPIRACY

I mostly agree with Glenn Beck's opinions, but some of the things he says and does are definitely off-putting. I don't like weeping by any male public figure, especially men in leadership positions like John Boehner. All that conveys is, "I am weak. I can't control myself. I am wishy-washy. I am an ineffective leader." That's right RINO John, and while you're at it, why don't you change the spelling of your last name instead of expecting those of us who have had first grade phonetics to incorrectly pronounce it as Bayner instead of Boner?

  2. Triple S - Beck is crazy. He went off of the deep end sometime during his Fox tenure - seemed to think that he had to say more and more outrageous things to keep his ratings. Interesting that it lead to over 400 advertisers boycotting his show. Talking up gold and then hawking it on ads was also not particularly cool :-)

I do remember Beck as having strong conservative convictions, however, you make a good point about him being crazy. I haven't watched him for months on TV. Maybe he went off the deep end during that time. The gold sales issue is what lost me. Every gold pitchman who ever existed prefaces his pitch with a distorted and very much exaggerated gloom and doom scenario. That destroys most of the credibility of anything else he has to say. Surprisingly, he sounds fairly normal on the radio, though, again, haven’t listened in a long while.

  4. I recollect that when Beck first came to TV, he was often reasonable - often wrong, but reasonable, kind of like O'Reilly! But when he shifted gears to whacko, I couldn't even watch.
